The National Weather Service has issued winter weather warnings and advisories for New Jersey.
Snow will begin to overspread the area after 11 p.m. The worst of the snow is between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. Saturday. A very fluffy light snowfall at the northern end of the state. Heavier, wetter snow is expected in southern zones with some mixing along the immediate shoreline.
SATURDAY: This is a fast-moving system, so accumulations should be on the lighter side. It’s the type of snow that just freshens up the existing snowpack on the ground. The snow will taper after 9 a.m. or 10 a.m. The weather will slowly improve for the rest of Saturday, but it will be breezy and therefore feel much colder. It’s possible for periods of sunshine on Saturday, but I have a feeling that the clouds will ultimately win out.
SUNDAY: A fantastic day. Mainly sunny and seasonable with highs around 43.
MONDAY: President’s Day – Enjoy the day off. Skies filled with sun and highs around 42.
TUESDAY: Still sunny with highs around 42.
