Storm with a foot of snow surprises people in parts of New Jersey

The snowstorm that has been sweeping across the Garden State Saturday morning was expected to be a “South Jersey Special.” But it is turning out to be a “Central Jersey Special,” with the heaviest bands of snow pushing farther north than most forecasters had predicted – pounding parts of Hunterdon, Mercer and Middlesex counties with as much as a foot of snow.
