Abandoned 1950s Home In New Jersey Draws Attention For Being ‘Frozen In Time’

A ‘50s home in New Jersey has yet to be inhabited in the last three decades, and thanks to TikTok creator Ramy, the building has been getting attention on social media. Ramy enjoys exploring abandoned habitations and often shares them with his growing internet fanbase.

Ramy’s clip of the New Jersey home, showed the living room, the dining room with a newspaper in it, a coffee cup, and a Christmas tree still up. The kitchen still had its stove with a tin of instant coffee on it, and the family photos and yearbook remained in the house.

About the New Jersey forever in the 1950s

Sharing his discovery, Ramy captioned the video writing, “exploring an abandoned 1950’s home that is just left frozen in time.” According to him, the house was lived in until the ‘80s, after the last two occupants— a couple, died. The newspaper on the table had its open page announcing the death of actor Walter Pidgeon in 1984.

Although Ramy confirmed that the couple passed away months apart in 1984, there were speculations that they died much before that, especially due to the paper’s dating. The post soon went viral, garnering over 96,000 likes and hundreds of comments, as well as nearly 3,000 shares.
