A Dusting to a Few Inches of Snow Possible in New York City & Long Island

Good afternoon everyone. We continue to watch the pieces of the puzzle come together for a robust wintry system for Texas, across the northern tier of the Gulf States, and into the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic.

For us? There’s still a little room in either direction in terms of nothing and a more moderate snow, but things are leaning light at this time. As stated yesterday, I think the clearest picture will be tomorrow in terms of seeing where all the pieces are and timing. However, I do feel as if a major storm is off the table barring some sort of surprise shift.

Look for very windy conditions today and tomorrow, with highs 25-30 at best across much of the area. Temperatures sink back into the low to mid 20’s overnight depending on your final high temp.

We start out with sunshine on Friday, then increasing clouds late. Highs in the mid 30’s. We’ll have the chance of some light snow developing late overnight Friday. With lows in the mid to upper 20’s, anything that may fall should stick.
