DOÑA ANA COUNTY, N.M. (KTSM) – Newly released video shows the moments a passenger grabbed a bus’s steering wheel, causing the driver to lose control and crash into a median on Interstate 10 near Mesquite.

Aroni Diaz was identified as the passenger involved in the Sept. 24 incident. He was arrested by New Mexico State Police and charged with aggravated assault and battery.
Video recorded inside the bus shows Diaz jumping into the driver’s seat as screams can be heard. Diaz appears to be screaming as the driver attempts to steer the bus while Diaz pulls on the steering wheel…
