Bosque Brewing expands despite dip in craft beer industry

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – In line with a national trend, New Mexico’s craft beer industry is changing. At least three breweries have closed in the state over the last few months but one local brewery is battling the odds and expanding. “They were golden opportunities that just fell in our lap,” said co-owner and CDO, Jotham Michnovicz.

Bosque Brewing is adding to its long list of locations across the state expanding to three new spots. “That will make 12 for us at that point we have nine right now we have Bosque Brewing, The Drinkery and then we have Restoration Pizza,” said Michnovicz.

Taking over Duke City Beaches off Menaul, the old Applebee’s off San Mateo and Academy, and moving into Lava Rock Brewing on the west side of town. “The nice things about these locations, they really just need a lot of lipstick more than having to do full TI packages,” said Michnovicz.
