Scattered rain and mountain snow is slowly spinning through New Mexico, south of I-40. This is spinning around a low pressure system moving through southern NM. There is dense fog in the east plains, with visibility of zero to three miles in most areas east of the central mountain chain. Take it slow and low beams while driving! The dense fog advisory remains in effect until 11 AM. There is also patchy fog near Gallup and Grants.

Rain will continue to slowly move east throughout the morning. More isolated showers will develop and move southeast by midday. Isolated showers will redevelop in the mountains by early afternoon moving southeast, and bringing light rainfall accumulation. We will see the chance for isolated rain showers in the Metro. Light snow will be possible in the mountains.
