We’re diving into a system set to roll across the I-25 corridor this weekend, but there is considerable uncertainty in the amount of snow we could see across Colorado, Utah and New Mexico. This is what goes into a “high ceiling, low floor” type of forecast: when we are six days out, there is a lot of uncertainty in most, if not all, forecasts. Anything we see this far out, with our system still well out over the Pacific Ocean, needs to be taken with a large grain of salt. And bounces back and forth between solutions.
