New Mexico State Police Make Multiple Arrests in Proactive Operation

ROSWEL, NM – According to a press release issued by the New Mexico State Police on Wednesday, Februrary 7, 2024, in a proactive law enforcement effort, New Mexico State Police District 3 officers have arrested a total of 13 individuals over the span of five days, emphasizing their commitment to maintaining public safety in Roswell, Hobbs, and Carlsbad.

The month of February has seen a surge in arrests as officers diligently pursued individuals with active warrants and enforced traffic laws for the motoring public.

According to the press release, among the arrests, 13 individuals were apprehended on active warrants, while an additional arrest was made for Driving While Intoxicated (DWI).

The DWI arrest occurred on February 4, 2024, when an NMSP officer, responding to assist a Chaves County Deputy on a traffic stop, discovered signs of impairment in the driver, Saguenti Garcia (26).

Following standardized field sobriety tests, Garcia was taken into custody and transported to the Chaves County Detention Center for DWI.
