A round of snow will move through western and northern New Mexico tonight. A stronger storm will bring widespread snowfall across the state this weekend. A break between storms today across New Mexico. Temperatures are still cooler than average and winds are still breezy, but more have seen sunnier skies this afternoon. A line of snow will move into western New Mexico Thursday evening and make it to the Rio Grande Valley by midnight tonight. Around 2″ of snow will be possible along I-40 in western New Mexico, which could cause icy roads tonight. A dusting to 1″ is even possible in the Upper Rio Grande Valley, with a few flurries in the Metro around midnight. The round of snow though will all end before many of us even wake up Friday morning. Friday will be another relatively quiet day with partly sunny skies, slightly cooler temperatures and still some breezy winds.
