Snow and rain continue into Sunday for parts of New Mexico

Snow and rain has been moving across New Mexico throughout the day today, with the heaviest snow falling across northern and northeast New Mexico. Areas of blowing snow will continue to be possible from Sangre de Cristo Mountains to the Texas state line. As temperatures get colder tonight, rain could transition to snow as far south as the Mexican border. A boundary will develop late tonight and into Sunday morning in eastern New Mexico, but depending on its position, it could set up a band of heavier snowfall across east-central New Mexico, with snow as far south as Roswell and Carlsbad. Snow will end in western New Mexico by Sunday morning, with the snow ending in the eastern half of the state Sunday afternoon.
