Many people in eastern New Mexico are waking up to a winter wonderland as snow showers continue to move through. Snow showers are making their way as far south as Carlsbad this morning and will continue into the early afternoon before moving out of the state. An additional 1-4 inches of snow are expected with locally higher amounts. Breezy winds along with cold temperatures this morning are causing some hazardous road conditions. Be sure to take it slower and stay aware if you are planning on heading out on the roads.
