NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – Friday morning is quiet and cool across New Mexico. It will be a mostly sunny day, with mild temperatures for most of the state. However, a cold front is moving into eastern New Mexico this morning, and the far northeast highlands will stay about twenty degrees colder than Thursday. Temperatures will only drop about five degrees in the far southeast plains and only a couple of degrees in the Rio Grande Valley. The front will push fully through the state tonight, and temperatures will stay ten to twenty degrees cooler on Saturday. Highs will then rebound back above normal on Sunday.
