Heavy rain has caused more life-threatening flash flooding in the Ruidoso area today. Storms could continue to bring burn scar flash flooding this upcoming week. Numerous showers and storms have developed again today, especially along and west of the central mountain chain. Storms have once again been dropping heavy rainfall. Th Ruidoso area has picked up over 2″ of rain in some areas due to training thunderstorms, and this has caused dangerous and life-threatening flash flooding. Storms may continue across the Sacramento Mountains through sunset tonight. In western New Mexico and the Rio Grande Valley, some showers will continue overnight and into Monday morning.
