California’s In-N-Out Expands; New Locations Coming to 3 States: New Mexico, Washington, Tennessee

Irvine, California-based In-N-Out Burger is gearing up to expand its reach, with new locations planned in California, Idaho, Utah, and beyond. Known for its mustard-grilled burgers and iconic shakes, the chain is slated to open five restaurants in 2025, including spots in Anaheim, Carson, and Sylmar, California; Nampa, Idaho; and South Salt Lake, Utah.

In-N-Out currently operates in California, Arizona, Nevada, Colorado, Idaho, Oregon, Utah, and Texas, but plans to break new ground in New Mexico, Washington, and Tennessee. The Tennessee locations, expected in 2026, will include an East Coast hub near Nashville. New Mexico’s first In-N-Out is anticipated by 2027.

The chain’s slow, quality-focused growth reflects its founders’ commitment to freshness, with all locations kept within a single-day drive of its patty-making facilities.
