POUGHKEEPSIE – A mother and daughter were injured Sunday night when the Jeep they were traveling in plunged off a cliff onto Route 9 in Poughkeepsie. The accident happened at approximately 5:30 p.m. and closed the northbound lanes of Route 9 between Albany Avenue and Delafield Street for a few hours.
City of Poughkeepsie police, fire, and EMS personnel responded to a report of a vehicle that had plunged onto Route 9 from a side street in the area.
