STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – Individual taxpaying New Yorkers can potentially receive a tax refund averaging a sizable $1,029, according to an IRS written statement. The statement details that 51,400 New Yorkers have yet to file their 2020 tax return, leaving a whopping $60,837,400 worth of tax refunds on the table – and that’s just in New York. Nationwide, over $1 billion have yet to be claimed.
