Gas Prices Continue Trending Lower

The average price for a gallon of gas continues to drop, primarily due to low demand and falling oil costs. According to AAA, Monday’s national average price at the pump is $3.21, which is more than six cents lower compared to a week ago. New York State’s average is currently $3.36, which is a six-cent drop from last week. And the average in Chautauqua County is $3.52, down four cents over the past week. One year ago, the national and statewide averages were $3.87 and $3.92, respectively.
