DiNapoli: Numbers Of Homeless Population Doubled In New York

Homelessness in New York State has sharply increased, more than doubling between January 2022 and January 2024, according to a report released last week by New York State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli. Homelessness grew by 53.1% from January 2023 to January 2024, more than four times the rest of the nation.
