RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — One-stop early voting in North Carolina begins in 10 days on February 15.
You might think people have a pretty good idea of the person they’ll vote for. But not so fast. On the Democratic ticket for North Carolina governor, 51 percent of voters polled by Meredith College are undecided.
When it comes to the Republican gubernatorial primary the current Lt. Governor, Mark Robinson, is at 34%, the rest of those on the ballot are in the single digits. But the highest percentage is what is most interesting: 42 percent of voters polled still don’t know.
“It’s a bit surprising this late in the election cycle to see that many undecideds. I mean we’ve seen Bill Graham advertise and be more present as well as Dale Folwell, but it doesn’t seem to be budging the numbers,” said Meredith College poll director David McLennan.
McLennan said even with the primary so close, people are pretty disengaged.
