According to a report published by WRAL News, a mother in NC is speaking out after she claimed Walgreens provided her daughter with the wrong medication dosage that was “five times too strong” for her.
According to the report, the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy is investigating the complaint. The situation happened in Mount Airy where the mother, who was not named, went to a local Walgreens to pick up the medication for her daughter. However, her five-year-old daughter became extremely ill 30 minutes after taking the medication.
After consulting with a daughter, it was discovered that “the dosage was five times the necessary dosage”, according to the report. The child was immediately taken to the ER and doctors are monitoring her for any long-term effects.
