Police: North Carolina man killed in crash on Garden State Parkway in Irvington

New Jersey State Police say that a North Carolina man was killed in a crash along the Garden State Parkway in Irvington.

The crash happened on Wednesday around 12:45 a.m. They say the victim was a 41-year-old man. They say he was driving in an SUV that was stopped behind a line of cars in traffic. This is when another car rear-ended the SUV causing a chain reaction collision.

The victim was identified as Tarron Francis.

Police say the driver of the car that caused the chain reaction was moderately injured and taken to the hospital for treatment.
