North Carolina Governor Cooper Signs Order to Aid Hurricane Helene Victims and Boost Road Safety by Transforming Intersections

Earlier this week, Governor Roy Cooper signed Executive Order 323 to assist those affected in western North Carolina by the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. The order specifies that the N.C. Division of Motor Vehicles will not be collecting certain DMV fees, including late fees, and will also suspend some requirements for both residents and businesses in the impacted regions. License extensions have to also been granted to mechanics and car dealers to help cope with the disruption caused by the natural disaster.
