While I admire and support Gov. Mike DeWine’s initiatives to reduce suicides among young people in Ohio, I find that his concerns ring more than a little hollow, given his simultaneous attempt to promulgate regulations that would severely limit access to care for the population group most prone to taking their lives – transgender teens (“Doctors say Gov. DeWine’s transgender pending order is at odds with best health practices,” Jan. 26).
