After nearly two decades of solid Republican rule in the state House, Ohio ranks near the bottom of all states on measures of education, health care, and environmental quality. The GOP has traded any notion of working on behalf of Ohio citizens for pandering to the wild-eyed “culture war” extremists in their own party.
