It’s called the Kentucky State Fair. Allowing out of state winners is a travesty.

For what it’s worth, I think any prize-eligible entry in the Fair, from cakes to hogs, should be made or grown in Kentucky by current Kentucky residents only. To allow out of state entrants and winners, like this year’s OHIO resident who won first prize in the cake contest , seems like a travesty for the KENTUCKY State Fair. Isn’t this a time to showcase the skills of current Kentucky residents?

Ohio cake winner is a slap in the face

It’s the Kentucky State Fair and only people in Kentucky should be allowed to enter the contests at the state fair. I think the fair should be used to showcase the talents Kentucky has. I don’t think it’s fair that someone from Ohio won the cake contest. It just isn’t fair and I feel it’s a slap in the face to all the bakers in Kentucky.
