CLEVELAND, OH – A Louisville resident recently struck it big in the Mega Millions drawing on Tuesday, August 20, walking away with a $40,000 prize.
The winning numbers for the draw were 5, 20, 26, 49, 51, with the Mega Ball number 24.
According to a press release issued by the Ohio Lottery on Thursday, August 22, 2024, the fortunate winner, who opted for the auto-pick option to select her numbers, successfully matched four of the five white balls and the Mega Ball.
According to the press release, this combination initially earned her a $10,000 prize. However, with the addition of the Megaplier to her ticket, her winnings were quadrupled, bringing her total prize to $40,000.
The winning ticket was purchased at West Main Drive Thru, located at 1616 W Main Street in Louisville.
The excitement isn’t over yet, as the next Mega Millions drawing is set for Friday, August 23, at 11 p.m., with a massive jackpot of $527 million up for grabs.
