Ohio Social Security Recipients to Receive October Payment in September

CLEVELAND, OH – Ohio beneficiaries of Social Security retirement, disability, and survivors benefits can typically expect their payments on the second, third, or fourth Wednesdays of each month, depending on their birth dates.

According to the Social Security Administration, however, recipients of Supplemental Security Income (SSI) usually receive payments on the first of the month. If the first falls on a federal holiday or weekend, payments are distributed on the previous business day, according to the Social Security Administration.

According to the Social Security Administration, for October, SSI beneficiaries in Ohio will receive their payments early, on September 29, since October 1 falls on a Sunday. This will be the second payment for September, with the first one having been distributed on September 1.

The next scheduled SSI payment is set for November 1, according to the 2023 Social Security calendar. This pattern also occurred in March and June and will happen again in December, resulting in no SSI payments in January 2024.
