Popular Snack Recalled In Ohio Due To Potential ‘Mold Pieces’

A popular snack sold in stores around Ohio has been recalled due the potential for containing “mold pieces.”

Authentik Fudge of Sainte-Julie is recalling 840 unites of its MONTREAL FUDGE brand chocolate fudge with nuts “due to potential mold contamination,” according to a recall notice shared by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration . The product was distributed on June 19 and 20 of this year and sold in TJ MAXX and Marshalls stores around the country .

The only products included in the recall are those with a lot number of 0241500805 and 2025/MR/01 expiration date, a lot number of 0241690105 and 2025/MR/17 expiration date, and lot number of 0241690205 and 2025/MR/17 expiration date.

The affected products were sold in TJ MAXX locations in Arizona, California, Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada, Utah, Washington and Wyoming as well as in Marshalls locations in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin, West Virginia and Wyoming.
