TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – A federal pandemic program is set to expire at the end of this month. But if you have a student loan in default, you still have time to sign up. Fresh Start started during the pandemic and ends on Sept. 30, 2024. It gives borrowers who are in default on their student loans a chance to get out of default and start making regular payments without penalty.
