LOOK! At least Ohio doesn’t have ‘tarantula season’

(WJW) – The days are getting cooler in Northeast Ohio and before you know it snow will be falling, the commute to-and-from work will be slick, and it’ll seem like the sun hardly ever shines.

But, before Ohioans cry their winter blues, take this positive note: Well, at least we don’t have tarantula season!

Yes, tarantula mating season is in full bloom in the southwestern portion of the United States.

According to the National Wildlife Federation , (thankfully) these hairy critters prefer to spend their time burrowing in the ground and this is the only time of year most people might spot the large arachnid strolling by.
