Rain on Friday will give way to a warming, dry trend in Greater Akron next week

There’s something in the Friday forecast that’s been missing for a bit.

Rain.

The real question is whether showers will put a damper on the final Friday of the regular high school football season.

And on trick-or-treating in many Summit County communities on Saturday.

The National Weather Service says showers on Friday should end in time for high school football.

It will be a chilly night with temperatures in the upper 50s at game time and a slight chance of a shower or two.

And the forecast for trick-or-treating on Saturday night in communities including Akron, Cuyahoga Falls and Barberton is cloudy skies and temperatures in the 40s.

What’s the weather outlook for next week?

After Friday’s showers, things will dry out with sunny skies in the forecast through Thursday.

The weather service says below normal precipitation is expected into next week.

After a seasonally chilly weekend, temperatures will rebound into the 70s by next week.
