Historic Clifton Mill (75 Water Street, Clifton)
Stop by the Historic Clifton Mill to see one of the largest water-powered grist mills still in operation. It was built in 1802, and played a part in the War of 1812, when it provided corn meal for federal troops from Ohio.
After learning about the mill, stroll the scenic grounds and enjoy a meal inside the mill’s restaurant, where you can hear the water cascading over the falls.
Thomas Edison Birthplace Museum (9 North Edison Drive, Milan)
See where Thomas Edison was born on February 11, 1847. His family lived in the home until 1854, and today, it tells the story of his life through documents, family keepsakes, and early inventions.
The museum is open on select days from February through mid-December.
