WHEELING, W.Va. (WTRF) – As we head out the door for our Christmas Travels, we must be mindful of what we are driving into.
Temperatures on the ground Vs. Above the ground.
Although temperatures are supposed to rebound into the lower 40s by Monday evening, the surface temperatures will still be cold enough for falling snow to stick or melting snow to form patches of black ice.
About an inch of snow is expected across the region Tuesday morning while temperatures begin to warm back up. This could lead to snow falling initially and then quickly transitioning into rain.
Meteorologist Tyler Vangi harps on the potential for freezing rain or black ice potential early Tuesday morning to start Christmas Eve.
