COLUMBUS, Ohio – Central Ohio has been marked by rapid growth in population and business, along with skyrocketing housing prices, but it could be facing a slowdown in 2025. Dr. Bill LaFayette, the owner of Regionomics, an economics consulting firm, predicts the area will add just 4,400 jobs this year – a 0.4% increase. This follows a disappointing 2024 when only 5,200 jobs were created despite an earlier forecast of 9,800.
