Ashland County colorectal cancer death rate higher than Ohio, United States averages

The Ashland County Health Department is working to address the county’s high colorectal cancer rates. The department, in collaboration with the Health and Wellness Target Action Group (TAG), conducted a survey during the summer of 2024 to identify local needs and concerns regarding colorectal cancer screening. A total of 288 people were surveyed, with the majority over the age of 65, according to a news release.
