YALE, Okla. – A day of celebration turned into devastation Friday afternoon when a fire broke out at Mugsy’s Grubhouse as the restaurant marked nine years in business.
The restaurant has become a cornerstone in the community over the past nine years, but what was supposed to be an anniversary celebration quickly shifted to concerns about the safety of customers and employees and the future of the business.

Doug Hanson, a manager at Mugsy’s Grubhouse, said the day started as a celebration before the fire broke out just before 2 p.m.
“There’s a fire that broke out in the back of the building, and me and a coworker went back there. Fire extinguisher and all that good stuff. And by the time we got back, there was too late,” Hanson said…
