FFRF challenges Oklahoma superintendent’s mandate on religious texts in schools

OKLAHOMA CITY, (KOKH) – The Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF) released a statement about State Superintendent Ryan Walter’s memo regarding the 2024-2025 school year. Walters’ memo includes the statement that “a physical copy of the Bible, the United States Constitution, the Declaration of Independence and the Ten Commandments” must be “provided to every teacher.”
