The summer blockbuster “Twisters” is storming onto streaming platforms this week after a strong run in theaters over the last few months.
“Twisters,” which premiered July 19, is billed as a current-day chapter of the 1996 blockbuster “Twister,” which also was filmed in Oklahoma, and stars Golden Globe nominees Daisy Edgar-Jones and Glen Powell as opposing forces who come together to try to predict — and possibly tame — the immense power of tornadoes. It’s directed by Lee Isaac Chung, who filmed his Academy Award-winning drama “Minari” in Tulsa in 2019.

“Twisters” is available on streaming platforms now after it debuted on Prime Video on Monday at 9 p.m. PDT/Tuesday 12 a.m. EDT, Forbes reports.
