Vote for Landmark Fine Homes girls high school athletes of the week for Sept. 8-14

The Oklahoman’s fall sport girls athletes of the week poll for Sept. 8-14 presented by Landmark Fine Homes is now live at oklahoman.com.

Voting is open until noon Saturday. Here are this week’s nominees:

Cross country

Zeffie Elenburg, Jr., Heritage Hall: She placed second at Anadarko’s meet as she finished the 2-mile run in 12:59.76.

Toni Ibarra, Fr., Putnam North: She had a stong performance at Choctaw’s meet, placing third in 21:22.44.

Avery Nelson, Fr., Yukon: Another talented freshman, Nelson had a runner-up finish at Choctaw’s meet as she completed the race in 21:22.34.

Softball

Kaydrian Fields, Sr., Choctaw: Fields is 11-2 in the circle for the Yellowjackets and posted a 1.11 ERA in wins over Yukon and Owasso a week ago.
