Halloween is almost here, which means it’s time to bust out some horror movies to set the mood. Why not keep things a little local this year?
Here are five horror movies that take place in Oklahoma.
1. ‘The Ripper’
“The Ripper,” filmed on a $75,000 budget in 1985 and starring horror icon Tom Savini, tells the story of a college professor turned murderer after putting on an antique ring.
The ring turns out to have belonged to Jack the Ripper, whose spirit possesses whoever wears it. Filming locations include Tulsa, and the University of Oklahoma.

2. ‘All-American Murder’
The 1991 direct-to-video “All-American Murder” follows the antisocial Artie Logan as he moves to a new college and meets a girl who ends up being brutally murdered the night of their first date. Artie is innocent, but becomes the prime suspect.
He has 24 hours to find the real killer, but as the clock ticks the killer continues to strike — and the clues keep pointing to Artie.
