SHREVEPORT, La. ( KTAL/KMSS ) – Time is almost up to register to vote in the Nov. 5 presidential election!
Arkansas , Louisiana and Texas residents have until Monday, Oct. 7 to register in person or by mail. Although residents of Arkansas and Texas can’t register online, Louisianans can register through GeauxVote until Oct. 15.

Although the VoteTexas voter registration application can be completed online, it cannot be submitted digitally. Applications must be printed, signed and submitted to your county election office.
Oklahoma residents have a little more time, but not much. The deadline to register in person, by mail and online is Friday, Oct. 11. Visit the OK Voter Portal to submit your online registration.
To register to vote, you must be:
- A U.S. Citizen
- A resident of the state/county in which you are registering
- Be at least 18 years old before the next election
- Not a convicted felon whose sentence has not been discharged or pardoned
- Not be presently adjudged as mentally incompetent as to your ability to vote by a court of competent jurisdiction
