WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) – A strong storm system will be passing through the region on Wednesday. Gusty south winds ahead of it will transport moisture northward into the central and southern U.S. The main storm energy, however is passing north of us and the greatest chances for severe weather on Wednesday will be found in Kansas, as well as central and northern Oklahoma. An isolated storm or two is possible along the dryline further south into parts of southern Oklahoma during the afternoon. However, the better storm chances down our way will come with a cold front advancing through the area Wednesday night. A line of storms, with gusty winds and mainly small hail will be possible, especially across the eastern parts of Texoma. Rain and storm chances are much lower the further west you go. Highs on Wednesday will be in the 80s once again. Much cooler and drier weather returns for Halloween, but wet weather could be a part of our forecast for early November!
