100+ mph winds, Tornadoes in Ottawa County and Arkansas rated as EF-1

OTTAWA COUNTY, Okla. (KOAM) – The storms on Wednesday evening across Oklahoma and NW Arkansas are ranked as EF-1 according to preliminary information from the National Weather Service-Tulsa.

OKLAHOMA

NWS-Tulsa say two tornadoes went through NE Oklahoma. They have not completed reports and released mapping however they say two tornadoes went through the county.

KOAM reporters talked with families who were displaced by storm damage.

There were no reports of injuries.

MISSOURI

STORM CLOUD NEAR RACINE-MO.mov

National Weather Service-Springfield issued a Tornado Warning at 10:50 p.m. Wednesday night which spawned tornado sirens in Joplin and other locations in Newton County. There are no reports of significant damage however one of our Joplin News First followers sent a video image of a funnel cloud.
