Tractor-trailer overturns at Kansas to Oklahoma state line near Picher

CHEROKEE COUNTY, Kan. (KOAM) – About 9 a.m. Tuesday morning the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office state they responded to US-69 at the Kansas to Oklahoma state line to a single vehicle crash.

Deputies tell us it was a non-injury crash. The driver remained on the scene.

Santa Fe Towing were summoned to remove the wreckage and debris.

Traffic was disrupted about two hours along US-69.

Sources tell us speed was a factor in the southbound crash. US-69 jogs a short bit at the state line just east of the former town of Treece, Kan.
