5 drug trafficking organization members plead guilty to federal drug, drug-related crimes

MUSKOGEE, Okla. — Five drug trafficking organization members pleaded guilty to federal drug and drug-related crimes, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma.

Rito Alvarado Gomez pleaded guilty to drug conspiracy. Jose Alberto Alvarado Gomez, Ricardo Villeda and Iris Yoselin Luna-Herrera pleaded guilty to meth distribution. Ana Isabel Frayre Barboza pleaded guilty to misprision of felony.

Starting in 2018 through around March 2024, the indictment alleged that the defendants conspired together and with others to distribute meth in the Eastern District of Oklahoma and elsewhere.

The charges came from a DEA investigation in collaboration with several other agencies.

All the defendants except for Barboza will remain is U.S. Marshals’ custody until their sentencing. Barboza was allowed to remain on bond until sentencing.
