OKLAHOMA CITY (KAMR/KCIT) — Officials with the Oklahoma Department of Transportation report slick and hazardous conditions including snow blowing in from the northern part of Oklahoma. Officials said snow is blowing from the Panhandle eastwardly toward Missouri and Arkansas.
As temperatures and accumulation are critical, ODOT reminds drivers to monitor the weather conditions if traveling Sunday.

To help driving conditions ODOT states that crews are plowing and treating roadways and bridges as needed.
Officials remind drivers to:
- Stay about 200 feet behind road-clearing equipment.
- Allow extra space between vehicles to provide adequate distance for braking.
- Be aware of “black ice,” which looks wet on the roadway but is a thin layer of ice.
- Plan trips ahead and allow extra time to reach destinations.
ODOT advised drivers to follow the forecast and check current road conditions on the interactive travel map at okroads.org or the Drive Oklahoma mobile app.
