Senate resolution seeks to honor longtime KOIN 6 anchor

PORTLAND, Ore. ( KOIN ) — There’s a resolution in the legislature that hits home for KOIN 6.

The resolution is to honor the life and legacy of longtime KOIN 6 News anchor Mike Donahue.

SCR 210 says they want to honor Donahue because he “represented true excellence in journalism” and because “Oregonians relied on Mike Donahue as their nightly source of the news and events that impacted their lives.”

Donahue, an Albany native, worked at KOIN-TV for 44 years.

He died last year at the age of 77.
