Sunshine returns with the 70s hanging around Eastern Washington & Oregon

Breezy to gusty through Thursday as cold, dry air behind the low rushes in to keep us in the 70s for a brief moment. Wind speeds will be 10-20 mph with gusts 20-30 mph and locally 30-40 mph near the Kittitas Valley, Eastern Columbia River Gorge, and Dayton. Thursday night will be chilly in the 40s and 50s as skies remain clear with a light breeze except for the gaps in the Cascades. We see slight warming from a weak surface ridge that will have a few 80s come back for the forecast on Friday. Skies clear through Friday for a moment before more clouds slowly build in through the weekend. Friday night will develop some cloud coverage heading into Saturday with a chance of showers in the Cascades.
