PORTLAND, Ore. ( KOIN ) – Oregon’s voter registration deadline is less than two weeks away, making it crunch time for those who have yet to submit their information.
Fortunately, registering to vote in Oregon is as simple as filling out MyVote on the Secretary of State’s registration webpage . All you need is an Oregon driver’s license, permit or ID card issued by the DMV.

If you don’t have an Oregon-issued ID, however, you can still register to vote so long as you are a U.S. citizen, a resident of Oregon and at least 16 years old. However, those who have not yet turned 18 will not receive a ballot until they are of age.
Those without a state ID will need to fill out the online registration application, print it out and deliver it to their county elections office. Those who simply do not wish to register online can fill out a voter registration form and submit it in person as well.
Most Oregonians who have gotten or renewed their license since 2016 have already been registered to vote by the Oregon Department of Motor Vehicles. This automatic registration feature led to a recent controversy when the Secretary of State’s Office revealed that a review found nine voters had been “improperly registered” without proving citizenship .
